VPDive → Google Calendar Sync is a Chrome extension that synchronizes a dive club’s VPDive calendar into the user’s own Google Calendar.
The developer collects no data. The extension has no backend server, no analytics, and no tracking. No personal data ever leaves your browser except as described below.
| Data | Source | Use |
|---|---|---|
| Calendar events (title, date/time, location, description, link) | The VPDive calendar page you open, using your existing VPDive session | Created/updated in the Google Calendar you choose |
| List of your Google calendars (names and IDs, read-only) | Google Calendar API | Lets you pick the destination calendar |
| Google OAuth token | Google (via Chrome’s identity API) | Authenticates calls to the Google Calendar API; managed by Chrome, revocable at any time |
| Settings (destination calendar, title prefix, sync window, VPDive source) and sync state | Stored locally via Chrome storage | Remember your preferences and avoid duplicates |
Event data read from the VPDive page is transmitted only to the official Google Calendar API (www.googleapis.com) in order to write into your own Google Calendar. It is never sent to the developer or to any other third party.
The extension’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google Calendar data is used solely to provide the user-facing calendar synchronization feature, is not transferred to anyone else, and is not used for advertising.
